Are you passionate about sharing your knowledge and empowering adults to thrive in their learning journey? The Adult Community Learning Service is on the lookout for experienced and enthusiastic sessional tutors to deliver engaging courses to adults across the Isle of Wight. Help us create transformative learning experiences in community centres and other settings!
What You’ll Do
As a tutor, you’ll have the opportunity to teach a variety of topics, ranging from ICT, art, and craft to wellbeing and more. Courses could take the form of short workshops, 6-week programs, or even accredited qualifications up to Level 2.
You will:
- Deliver inspiring day, evening, or weekend sessions.
- Plan and prepare schemes of work and engaging lesson plans.
- Organize the learning environment to foster creativity and growth.
- Assess learners' needs and guide them towards progression opportunities.
For those delivering accredited learning programs (Scale 9 posts), you will also assess and ensure students meet qualification requirements.
What You’ll Bring

- A teaching qualification:
- Considerable experience or qualifications in your specialist subject area.
