As a Mountbatten Housekeeper you will ensure the highest possible standards of hygiene and cleanliness are met and maintained in all areas of the hospice, putting patients at the heart of everything you do.

With an enthusiastic, can-do attitude, and the ability to work on your own initiative, you will help ensure the hospice is always clean and welcoming for all.

Overview of Role:

The successful postholder will maintain a quality, effective, consistent and reliable housekeeping and laundry service across all areas at Mountbatten.

This service will ensure a pleasant, safe, clean and welcoming environment is provided for patients, visitors, employees and volunteers.

Key Tasks

To participate in all housekeeping duties on the Inpatient Unit (IPU), including cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, beds and equipment, working to cleaning schedules and Mountbatten processes.

To carry out housekeeping duties to ensure communal areas, day services, staff offices and staff areas e.g. corridors and toilets etc, working to cleaning schedules and Mountbatten processes.

To be responsible for following Mountbatten guidelines for colour coded equipment.  Follow safe working practices including, but not limited to Health and Safety guidelines, Infection Control and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
