The Isle of Wight Council operates Plean Dene Residential Learning Disability Home which provide a safe environment for the Residents enabling them to lead fulfilled and enriched lives.
The shift patterns will be:
- 5hrs daily from 10am – 3pm
- 3 days one week then 4 days the next which includes working every other weekend
We are seeking to appoint positive committed Domestic staff you will be working within a team of Support Workers within the home, you will need to maintain The High standards of cleanliness throughout the building. Candidates need to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of infection control and COSHH.
We have extensive cleaning and guidance to ensure everyone is kept safe due to the vulnerabilities of the people who live at Plean Dene. You will be provided with all necessary PPE and products; you will also be responsible to ensuring all PPE and cleaning products are in stock and ordered accordingly.
Training will be given in these areas along with other mandatory courses, to aid you within your Role. Candidates need to be empathetic, caring and a good team player. You will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS due to working with vulnerable adults.
You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service, which has a person-centred approach and actively supports and maximises residents' independence and life experience. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an appropriate level of literacy and numeracy with a clear commitment to excellence.
You will be well supported and receive regular structured supervision, training and development opportunities.
