Rental Supervisor – New Location Launch

Salary: /OTE: £30,000 to £34,000 per annum

Van Mossel are launching a brand-new Volkswagen Rent-a-Car & Breeze Campers operation, located at our Isle of Wight dealership, Van Mossel Esplanade. We’re looking for a confident, motivated Rental Supervisor to lead the operation from day one.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a new site, build a customer base from scratch, and work with an exciting and diverse fleet including Škoda, CUPRA and Volkswagen passenger cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (Transporter, Crafter MWB), California campervans, and lifestyle models including ID. Buzz GTX and Multi-van.

You will oversee the daily operation, deliver exceptional customer service, and play a key role in developing new business across the island. You’ll work closely with our mainland rental teams in Portsmouth, Southampton and Poole, and report directly to the Group Rental Manager.

Package:

• Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 5.00pm 
• Pay: Basic £30,000 / OTE £34,000+ per annum (uncapped commission)

We’re Looking For:

• Experience in rental, automotive, or customer-facing operations (supervisory experience desirable) 
• Strong organisational and leadership skills 
• Commercially minded with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities 
• Confident working independently and making operational decisions 
• Excellent communication and customer service skills 
• Strong computer literacy 
• Positive, proactive attitude with a collaborative approach 
• Full UK driving license

Job Description:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the new Isle of Wight rental location 
• Ensure all rental processes, standards and compliance requirements are met 
• Manage vehicle handovers, returns, inspections and fleet presentation 
• Conduct daily fleet checks, utilisation monitoring and reporting 
• Handle payments, ID checks, pre-authorisations and credit checks accurately 
• Manage fines, penalties, damage documentation and excess mileage processes 
• Support delivery and collection of vehicles when required
• Build the new location’s customer base through proactive prospecting 
• Maintain strong communication with Sales, Aftersales and management teams
