WHO ARE WE?:
Sea View Yacht Club is a historical members sailing club based in the beautiful village of Seaview on the Isle of Wight. Established in 1893, the yacht club comes to life over summer with members travelling to the Island from across the UK to enjoy their time at the Club on & off the water.
The hospitality team has a passion for delivering exceptional service, working closely as a team, with a relaxed yet professional approach. The Club hosts normal restaurant service alongside corporate hospitality & events offering an exciting variety for the team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?:
We are looking for flexible Bank/Casual Front of House staff to join our hospitality team.
Throughout the off-season we have a number of larger events and busy periods where we need additional people to support our core Front of House team and cover gaps in the roster.
This would suit someone looking for flexible, occasional hospitality work who is happy to pick up shifts when available. An immediate start is available, with opportunities for further work throughout the year.
Previous bar, waiting or hospitality experience would be useful, but a positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing friendly, professional service to members and guests
- Bar and table service at Club events and functions
- Taking and serving food and drink orders
- Preparing tables and Front of House areas for service
- Clearing tables, glassware and crockery
- Taking payments and using our till system
- Supporting the wider team during busy services and events
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable, positive and comfortable working as part of a team
- Confident communicating with members and guests
- Willing to learn and able to work in a busy environment
- Comfortable using basic till and ordering technology
- Flexible availability, particularly for evenings and weekends
- Previous hospitality experience desirable, but not essential

Founded in 1893, Sea View Yacht Club is one of the UK's most distinctive sailing clubs and RYA Training Centres.
