We are looking for a talented and passionate Chef to join our exciting new community Café at Eleven in Newport.
This is very much a Café with community at its centre and we are looking for someone who is both an innovative chef and motivated team player, happy to manage and train staff to ensure that quality and delicious meals are served at all times.

The ideal candidate must be able to:-

Cook and prepare dishes from scratch to ensure high quality and delicious fresh cooked flavours with nutritional value.

Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with EHO requirements.

Work collaboratively with the team and management to deliver high quality meals at all times of service and to work closely with the team to deliver cookery classes to members of the public and cater closed community group events.

Have a strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen management, and food safety practices.

Prepare Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes – adhering to storage and preparation guideline to ensure no contamination.

Teach team members and junior chefs how to prepare, cook and plate dishes on your days off.

Deliver consistent quality for both our eat-in and take away customers.

Maintain ordering systems for low and out of stock items.

Maintain stock control and ensure minimal wastage.
Ideally you will already have a minimum of Level 2 Food Handling and have or held kitchen managerial experience in a busy professional catering environment and experience in catering for private functions
