Urban Saints Westbrook is a residential centre that hosts groups of young people from churches, schools and youth groups, set in 18 acres of mixed parkland near Ryde.
We're looking for a Cook/Kitchen Coordinator to work from June to August (inclusive) to oversee the day to day operations of the kitchen at Westbrook. You'll be responsible for:
- Meal Planning and Preparation
- Stock Management
- Food Safety and Hygiene
- Staff Supervision
- Budget Management
- Guest Engagement
About You
You'll be compassionate, organised and reliable individual who is passionate about creating a great experience for guests at Westbrook through food. You will ensure that meals are nutritious and timely. You'll be able to manage inventory and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Key skills and experience:
- Experience in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Details
Hours: 20 hours per week to be worked flexibly, including some evening and weekend work
Salary: £16,000 per annum (£30,000 FTE)
Terms: Fixed term contract from 28th May to 31st August
Requirements: An enhanced DBS check is required
