We are looking for chefs to join our well-established kitchen team at The Chequers Inn.

Our thriving pub company consists of The Chequers Inn (Rookley), The White Lion (Niton) and The Birdham (Bembridge).
Across our venues, our menus are varied but deliver, fresh, seasonal home-cooked food. We hold a license for civil ceremonies, and we are perfect for formal dining events. But we also offer a relaxed high quality pub environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in food preparation and cooking.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
- Follow instructions and meet deadlines set by managers.
- Continuously develop culinary skills and stay updated with industry trends.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role.
- Solid understanding of various cooking techniques and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Relevant culinary qualifications preferred.
