Chef Manager and Assessor - Term Time only
39 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Catering & Hospitality team, based at The Isle of Wight College Restaurant. We are keen to hear from candidates with the passion and enthusiasm to engage and inspire our students in this field.
Within the role you will be responsible for the overall daily catering operation, which will include occasional evening/weekend functions and the execution and supervision of an interesting but simple menu. You will be expected to train/assess and support all staff and catering students to produce a consistent product, both in the kitchen and in all services to the public
What you can offer us:
• Minimum Level 3 Vocational qualification in food preparation or cookery, or equivalent
• Level 2 Award in Food Safety or equivalent
• Relevant experience of working within the catering industry, cooking and food preparation
and developing and producing menus of the highest standard
• A passion for creating healthy and nutritious dishes
• Well organised and with excellent customer service skills
