Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will have a vast knowledge and experience of working in a commercial kitchen environment and have a passion for culinary arts. They will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section within the kitchen. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to develop their skills in a professional environment. The Chef de Partie will play a vital part in maintaining our restaurant’s reputation for exceptional cuisine and service.

 

Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the restaurant’s standards and recipes. 
  • Oversee the daily operations of a specific section within the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces. 
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and handling. 
  • Monitor stock levels within your section and communicate needs for replenishment to the head chef. 
  • Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training where necessary. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations at all times to ensure a safe working environment. 
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and high standards of presentation.
  • To work closely with the Head Chef to ensure efficiency & that all food is prepared & presented to the highest standards.

Skills

 

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices. 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. 
  • Good communication skills to work effectively within a team. 
  • Experience in meal preparation and culinary techniques across various cuisines is desirable. 
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures, is advantageous. 
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. 
  • A passion for culinary excellence and continuous learning in the hospitality industry.
  • Self motivated 
  • Able to work evenings & weekends
  • Own transport and the ability to commute is essential for this position
