FULL TIME, PERMANENT

We currently have a new opportunity for an experienced Chef to join our talented catering team.  

Working alongside a chef-led team you will contribute to the preparation, cooking and presentation of delicious food for our pupils, staff and visitors. We are passionate and hard-working catering professionals, dedicated to creating an outstanding culinary experience for our customers.  We pride ourselves on producing the food for our menus to the highest standards in a clean, tidy, safe and pleasant environment.  

Responsibilities:

  • Working effectively as part of our team to prepare delicious, high-quality food that delights our pupils, staff & visitors.
  • Assisting with the preparation and delivery of hospitality, covering events and summer lettings outside of term time (this is managed on a rota basis).
  • Ensuring kitchen hygiene and food safety standards are maintained to the highest level and legislative HACCP requirements.
  • Complying with the schools Health & Safety regulations.

Ideal skills and attributes:

  • Have a proven ability to work well under pressure.
  • Be flexible to cover different working days, if the situation requires.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a proven track record as a chef in a professional kitchen with high volumes of turnover. 

The successful candidate will need to work 37.5 hours per week over five days including early evenings and weekends managed on a rota basis. The vital ingredients are to have a positive attitude, hands-on approach and a willingness to adapt to the varied requirements of the job.
