Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team. You will play a key role in delivering hearty, high-quality pub meals while maintaining consistency, speed, and presentation during both busy and quieter service periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook traditional pub dishes to a high standard
- Contribute to menu ideas, including daily specials and seasonal dishes
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Manage stock, ordering, and portion control
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen
- Work effectively under pressure during peak service times
- Support and train junior kitchen staff where required
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef, ideally in a pub or casual dining environment
- Strong knowledge of British pub cuisine
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
- Good understanding of food safety regulations
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Desirable Skills
- Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or above)
- Experience with grill, fry, and traditional pub cooking methods
- Ability to run a section independently
