Leslies Motors, the Isle of Wight’s largest privately owned franchised dealer group and a family business with over 75 years of heritage, is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Suzuki Aftersales Parts Advisor Apprentice at our Suzuki site in Hale Common, Arreton.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the automotive industry, combining hands-on experience with a structured manufacturer training programme.
Working within our busy Aftersales Department, you will learn how a modern parts department operates while delivering excellent service to both retail and trade customers.
About the Apprenticeship
Suzuki trains Parts Advisors to develop technical knowledge, stock management skills and excellent customer service, ensuring the highest standards of support for customers and technicians.
The apprenticeship combines practical workplace experience with manufacturer-led training at Suzuki’s dedicated training centre.
The programme focuses on:
- Product and technical knowledge
- Customer service and retention
- Parts identification and ordering
- Stock management and logistics
- Sales and parts department operations
Apprentices will also train in a simulated service reception and parts department environment, including goods-inward operations, trade counters, and computer-based systems used in modern dealerships.
Programme Duration
- 30 month apprenticeship programme
- 16 training visits to Suzuki’s training centre
- 8 weeks total training
Qualifications Achieved
Upon successful completion you will gain:
- NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Parts Operations Technical Certificate
- Key Skills in IT, Application of Number and Communication
- Apprenticeship Completion Certificate
The Role Will Include
- Assisting with the ordering, receiving and storage of vehicle parts
- Supporting technicians with parts supply
- Serving customers and trade accounts at the parts counter
- Learning stock control procedures
- Developing product knowledge across the Suzuki range
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards
