HTP Apprenticeship College are very pleased to be working with The Pet Doctors/Medina Veterinary Group who are looking to recruit for a Receptionist/Administrator.
Pet Doctors have four centres on the IW, in Newport, Wootton, Lake and Ryde, and have a dedicated team of around 60 staff.
The role will mainly be based in the Newport Branch, but may also involve working at the other branches.
The successful applicant will also be expected to undertake the level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship with HTP Apprenticeship College.

The Ideal Candidate:
Ideally, some experience of reception or customer service – but this isn’t essential – being positive, whilst sometimes sympathetic, and keen to learn and develop is required!
Duties of the role:
· To welcome customers – and their pets of course!
· To answer incoming phone calls
· To book appointments
· Send and reply to emails
· Call and send out letters to customers
· Process Insurance
· Chase up insurance claims
· Report daily on unpaid invoice report/full dept report
And other duties as required by the management.
Key Skills:
Desired, but these will be taught during the apprenticeship:
· Proven experience of collaboration, driving effective relationships and creative thinking
· Ability to manage multiple projects, problem solve and self a self starter
· Able to build networks quickly and effectively to respond and adapt as priorities change
· Can demonstrate influence of clinical performance
· Strong advisory and influencing skills
· Excellent attention to detail and analytical
· Comfortable to work independently and within teams often working towards tight deadlines with multiple priorities in a fast -paced environment
· Communicates, Challenges and influences a variety of stakeholders effectively.
· Excellent communication skills verbal and written
· Ready and able to take the initiative and take ownership for decisions
· Agile, creative and accountable ‘thinker’ with a ‘can do’ approach
· Be able to make decisions at pace with strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Hours:
Monday to Friday – 30 hours per week (to include study time)
Wage:
This will be the wage for age
