Learning Centre Apprentice - Learning & Development Team

 This is a great opportunity to join a busy and exciting administrative team and help in the day to day running of a lively learning & development environment. With work spread across three separate areas within the team you will have the opportunity to support people from all areas in achieving their learning goals. As well as working with a friendly and inclusive team of L&D professionals.  As part of the role you will also undertake a level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship. Details of this can be found by following this link. Following successful completion of the apprenticeship this will be converted to a permanent scale 3 post within the team.

As a member of the team you will provide high quality customer service for the Learning Centre, as well as supporting the Learning Resource centre and Adult Community Learning.

Duties will include

  • Providing a face-to-face reception function by dealing with enquiries from service users and greeting visitors to all areas of the Learning Centre
  • Assisting with the setting up of training rooms and providing support to trainers
  • Monitoring and hosting virtual meetings and training events via Microsoft Teams
  • Providing information and advice as required to service users, particularly with regard people accessing our Learning Management System, receive/make telephone calls, sending and receiving e-mails and arrange for enquiries to be actioned as appropriate.
  • Providing hospitality for all training events, produce course materials for L&D/ACL training, process course applications for L&D/ACL
  • Support the running of the Learning Resource Centre
  • Assisting the Adult Community Learning team with general administrative and data entry duties.
  • Undertaking general office administrative tasks as required

The successful applicant will show

  • Strong verbal communication skills – able to liaise at all level
  • Demonstrable team working skills
  • Excellent understanding of customer service at all levels of interaction
  • Excellent digital and numeracy skills
