Tax Adviser – Flying Fish UK Ltd

Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight.

Flying Fish is looking for a Bookkeeper with a self-assessment qualification or an Accountant with experience completing self-assessment tax returns. Flying Fish is a maritime training company based in Cowes. In addition to training, we help those working at sea complete their annual Self-Assessment Tax Returns.

 The role includes:

·       Preparing and submitting tax returns following UK and international tax laws.

·       Providing tailored advice on tax efficiency and financial planning for seafarers.

·       Maintaining accurate and confidential client records.

·       Liaising with HMRC and staying up to date on legislation changes affecting maritime professionals.

 We are looking for:

·       Qualified or part-qualified in tax/accounting (ATT/CTA/ACCA/ACA or similar).

·       Previous experience in personal tax, ideally with seafarers or international clients.

·       Great communication skills and a client-focused mindset.

·       Ability to work independently but enjoy being part of a small, collaborative team.

·       A relaxed and confident attitude – we work hard but keep things friendly and informal.
