Finance Assistant - Ryde House Group

The Finance team at Ryde House Group are focused on ensuring financial operations are accurate, efficient and effective. We are recruiting a Finance Assistant to help us with this goal and assist the department. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with change, helping drive the company to be leaders in innovation; although attention to detail is crucial, the ability to think 'big picture' is paramount to achieving this. Experience in finance and payroll is essential, however a willingness to learn, and skills such as critical thinking, resourcefulness, and adaptability hold high value. No two days are the same and it’s certainly an environment where you need to be proactive in your approach to scheduled tasks, but also reactive to upcoming tasks and issues. As with all jobs, there are big projects and small tasks, but our approach is the same to all – if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing it right. 

 

A few key responsibilities of the role include:

 

  • To be the lead on payroll processes and systems by managing timesheets, processing sick notes, maternity pay, pay increases, leaver tasks, liaising with HR regarding on various payroll tasks, producing KPI reports for Management, reporting payroll data to HMRC, processing wages payments, managing pay queries and producing reports as and when requested.
  • To assist with Sales Ledger tasks which would include raising invoices, matching off payments, and credit control.
  • To assist with Purchase Ledger tasks which would include analysing receipts, invoices and processing payments. 
  • To complete regular audits of residents' money across the group to ensure compliance and no irregularities. To produce purse audits and report to home management. 

 

We have a range of software and systems that support us in our day-to-day such as Xero, Slack, Brightpay, Wrike and Microsoft Office suite, so a tech savvy mind and approach will really help in this role.

 

The current working hours are between 35 to 40 per week (dependent on the needs of the service). 

 

The current work pattern is 9am to 4pm, with additional hours worked flexibly on either side.
