Solent is a marketing agency specialising in publications, creative design and marketing solutions for varied clients, web design and providing print and digital media opportunities across the Island’s travel routes
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator who will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day finances of the business, working under the supervision of the Directors. The role covers everything from invoicing and bookkeeping to PAYE, monthly reports and end of year accounts.
- Part Time (30 hours pw)
- Salary dependant on experience
- Office based in Newport
Main responsibilities:
- Maintaining bookkeeping and accounting records
- Inputting and payment of supplier invoices
- Creation of sales invoices
- Sales commission reconciliations and payments
- Credit control
- Maintaining projects using Excel spreadsheets and SAGE
- Creating bookings on our CRM system (Bitrix24)
- Bank reconciliations
- Managing the payroll and pensions via SAGE and NEST online
- PAYE/NIC and submission online
- VAT returns and submission online
- Producing monthly financial reports from SAGE
- Liaising with customers and suppliers
- Liaising with external company accountants
Key skills:
- Experience and knowledge of SAGE accounting and payroll software
- Proficient on Microsoft Excel
- Accuracy and confidentiality
- Organisation and time management
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Scheduling and project coordination
