Vision Accounting are an established, modern and fast expanding Accountancy Practice working with both industry leading companies locally and businesses across the country.

Due to continued growth in our client portfolio we are looking for an exceptionally talented Accounts Manager to join our friendly team. The successful candidate must be ambitious, independent and enthusiastic, and willing to dive headfirst into our busy practice. Contract: Permanent following a three month probation period.

Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 with a 30 minute lunch break. Part time hours can be offered for the right candidate.

Must have own transport.

Role Description

The Accounts Manager will be dealing with a wide variety of clients, from , with a key focus on proactively supporting their needs. The successful candidate will take on the management of an existing portfolio and will be responsible for delivering a high quality service. There will be a focus on accounts preparation, taxation, payroll, CIS work and other related practice services.

This role is also responsible for and will work directly with the Accounting Technician, therefore it is essential for the successful candidate to be able to form strong work relationships and have a positive nature to complement our existing team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be:

  • Managing a client portfolio and building long standing relationships.
  • Regularly corresponding and meeting with clients, with occasional site visits.
  • Working closely with and delegating work to the Accounting Technician.
  • Preparing accounts for Limited Companies and Sole Traders.
  • Preparing and overseeing the preparation and filing of VAT Returns.
  • Provision of Payroll & CIS Returns services for clients on a monthly basis.
  • Reviewing work prepared by the Accounting Technician and offering constructive feedback, coaching and mentorship.
  • Preparing and reviewing Tax Returns for Self Assessment clients.
  • Undertake basic client tax planning alongside our Directors.
  • Providing training and guidance to clients who need support with using cloud accountancy software.
  • Monitoring own workflow, communicating with the Directors and sharing resources and knowledge where possible.
  • Identifying opportunities to add value to our services with existing and new clients.

Technical Requirements

The successful candidate must:

  • Be qualified to a minimum of Level 4 AAT / ACA / ACCA.
  • Have a minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience.
  • Have experience of managing or coaching at least one employee.
  • Have excellent IT and numeracy skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Have expert knowledge of various cloud-based accountancy software.
  • Be proficient in all Microsoft Office but particularly Excel.
