The Isle of Wight College is currently recruiting for a Sessional Lecturer in Travel & Tourism, to bring their passion for this industry to support our students studying at Levels 1, 2 and 3 to achieve their full potential.

Your innovative style and approach to learning will be demonstrated through your enthusiasm to motivate and inspire, tailoring your teaching to take account of the wide range of backgrounds and varied academic and vocational aspirations of our students.

Whilst we welcome applications from those currently teaching, for those from a purely industry background full support will be given from a highly dedicated team to help you achieve a teaching qualification through the College’s in-house teacher training programme.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be able to plan, deliver and assess the curriculum in line with the awarding body and College standards. You will also have the following -

·     A relevant Level 3 or above qualification

·     Solid, relevant practical knowledge and industry experience

·     A willingness to attain a L3 teaching qualification, with the necessary support

·     We are looking for a person who can offer a dynamic, inspirational and forward-looking experience for our learners.

·     You will be responsible for teaching courses in your area of expertise, using innovative and engaging methods to motivate and challenge your students.

·     You will also provide feedback, guidance and support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals
