• To report for duty punctually as per rota, wearing the correct uniform and name badge.
• Complying with the standards of Health and Safety and Fire Procedures as laid down by the Hotel and by government legislation and ensure that these are adhered to them in all areas.
• To service all public areas and guest bedrooms as allocated to the highest standard. Ensure that the correct cleaning products, equipment and techniques are used as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
• Work efficiently and productively, ensuring that guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned and checked for any lost property.
• Replace or refill all disposable items daily. Ensure linen and towels are changed as required.
• Separate any dirty or defective laundry items received from our suppliers, so they can be returned separately in order for the Hotel to be reimbursed accordingly.
• Ensure that the linen cupboards and laundry areas are kept clean and organised, making certain stock is rotated regularly and that a correct stock balance is maintained.
• Ensure that all corridors are free from dirty laundry and rubbish as quickly as possible during the making up of rooms, in order that guests always see the Hotel in the best light.
• Report any maintenance defects to the Head Housekeeper as soon as possible.
• Bag, label, identify and date any lost property and give to Reception as soon as possible.
• Identify and report any hazards or damage encountered to the Head Housekeeper so that they can be dealt with efficiently.
• Always liaise with guests in a friendly and pleasant manner. Respond to any queries or concerns in the most effective way.
• Undertake special daily, weekly or monthly duties as allocated, e.g deep cleaning
• To carry out any reasonable duties as requested by the Head Housekeeper or a Manager as required by the demands of the Hotel operations.
