Millenium Windows in Ryde are looking to recruit a driver’s mate/Fitter.

Millenium Windows are a small friendly employer, that design and install doors, windows and conservatories.

The role will be assisting the driver in loading up the units that are to be fitted, unloading on site, and assisting with fitting. It would also be talking with the customer throughout the installation process, and being able to talk to the customer about others products Millenium offer, and to generate a lead for the sales team to follow up.

This is a great opportunity to learn the UPVC installation trade, whilst also studying for a professional qualification with HTP Apprenticeship College.

The successful applicant will be undertaking the level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Loading the van with the Driver/Fitter with the products being fitted 

·       Ensuring all tools and extra fitting materials are loaded 

·       Unloading the units/products at the customer’s address 

·       Assisting in the removal of any existing door, windows, conservatories etc

·       Assisting with the fitting of new doors, windows, conservatories etc

·       Speaking with the customer throughout the installation process, and dealing with any questions

·       Advising the customer on other products that Millenium offer, with a view to generating a sales lead

Desired Skills:

The role requires someone who is physically fit, as a lot of carrying and moving of heavy and bulky goods is required.

The successful candidate will be keen, enthusiastic and willing to learn.

They must be honest and trustworthy, and a friendly team player.

Otherwise, just someone who likes working with people, and has passion, personality and a desire to learn and progress.

Job Details:

The job is Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.

There is no weekend working, or requirement for working bank holidays.

Millenium is based in Ryde, but you will be working around the island.

Having your own transport would be beneficial.

Wage: Apprenticeship wage Initially
