· Prepare professional reports, specifications and schedules of work.
· Undertake condition surveys, defect analysis and compliance reviews.
· Act as Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent on a range of projects.
· Support project delivery from feasibility through to completion.
· Provide technical oversight and peer review for less experienced colleagues.
· Contribute to the development of standards, templates and quality systems.
· Work collaboratively with designers, project managers, quantity surveyors and asset specialists.
What we are looking for
· MRICS qualified Building Surveyor.
· Strong knowledge of construction technology and building pathology.
· Experience delivering contract administration and project work.
· Excellent report-writing and client-facing skills.
· Commercial awareness and practical problem-solving ability.
Desirable skills
· Knowledge of the Building Safety Act.
· Experience of public sector frameworks & partnership working.
· Understanding of asset management and estate portfolios.
· Experience of Party Wall matters and related neighbour liaison.
· Production and advise on schedules of condition and dilapidations.
· Experience mentoring graduate and junior surveyors.
What you will get
· Salary reflective of your experience.
· CPD and ongoing professional development support.
· Opportunity to influence a growing multi-disciplinary practice.
· Clear leadership pathway within the organisation.
Why join ERMC?
We are moving away from traditional professional silos and creating a single Professional Services team where surveyors, designers, project managers and asset specialists work together around client needs and project outcomes. This creates broader learning opportunities, stronger collaboration and better career development for people who want to make a genuine impact.
