SELF EMPOYED Job Opportunity
Property Inspector/Inventory Clerk
Flexible working hours, throughout the week, and some Saturday mornings. This is a ‘lifestyle’ job, which will allow you to work around existing commitments.
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual with good attention to detail, to join our busy team. You will be inspecting rental properties across the island and producing detailed reports for local agents and private Landlords. You must have use of your own computer, vehicle, and a clean driving licence.
Full training will be provided, however, property related experience, computer knowledge, good written and verbal communication and excellent customer relations skills, would be advantageous.

PAY
Pay is dependent upon the number of bookings you are available to complete per month. On average a working week will be around 30 hours with an annual income of approximately £25-£30.000 (gross).
The working week can be fluid with some changes and requests possible. Therefore the role would suit somebody who can be available at short notice and is comfortable with adapting to last minute changes. Equally, provided bookings are fulfilled within client timelines, you can adjust your diary to suit your own commitments.
DETAILS
The role includes the completion of mid-term inspections, inventories and checkout inspections and reports. Details of these services can be found on our website.
You will be given access to an online booking system and report generating software. As you are self-employed, you will be expected to cover your own set up cost in respect of the equipment you need. This is minimal and provided you have your own PC/Laptop, includes things like a tablet, camera/camera phone, dictaphone and possibly transcription software (if you would prefer not to manually type reports).
You will manage your own diary and be given a tariff of fees for each type of job, which you can use to produce an end of month invoice. The most important thing to appreciate with this role is although work is available on a regular basis and at present we have a strong client base, it is never guaranteed. Some months/weeks will be quieter than others, which is important for financial planning. In saying this, the company has been thriving and supporting three full time clerks for over ten years.
You will also be expected to complete training provided free of charge and at your convenience, do your own research/personal development into industry and legislation changes and have public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
