Health and Safety Officer

Salary: £24,463 - £27,142 pro-rata per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications

Contract: 32 hours per week, to be worked in accordance with requirements of the role Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a Health & Safety Officer who’s ready to step into a pivotal role at the heart of our college community. This is your chance to make a real impact supporting people, promoting best practice, and ensuring our campuses are a safe haven for learning and growth.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Leading on health & safety compliance across the college sites
  • Conducting risk assessments and audits with precision and insight
  • Supporting emergency planning and incident response
  • Championing a culture of safety through training, awareness, and collaboration
  • Working closely with facilities and leadership teams to ensure legal and ethical standards are met

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified and experienced H&S professional (with either ISOH or NEBOSH qualification)
  • Someone with a sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A confident communicator who can engage staff and students alike
  • A calm, capable presence in emergency or high-pressure situations
