Are you driven by the belief that every learner deserves the opportunity to succeed? We are looking for an inspiring Teaching and Learning Manager (TLM) to lead our Foundation Learning provision and make a lasting impact on the lives of our learners.
This is a rewarding leadership role for an individual who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to raising aspirations, improving outcomes and creating personalised learning journeys. You will play a key role in shaping provision that supports learners with diverse needs to build confidence, develop skills and progress into further study, training or employment.
As Teaching and Learning Manager, you will provide visible and empowering leadership across Foundation Learning, supporting staff to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment. You will champion an inclusive, safe and motivating learning environment where learners feel supported, challenged and valued.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Leading and developing an ambitious, learner-centred Foundation Learning curriculum
- Driving high standards of teaching, learning and assessment to maximise learner progress and achievement
- Supporting, mentoring and developing teaching and support staff
- Ensuring outstanding learner experience, with a strong focus on attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding
- Maintaining compliance with awarding body, quality assurance, health and safety requirements
What we’re looking for
You must hold a Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant subject area, and be First Aid trained and Health & Safety trained.
It is desirable for candidates to hold a Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment or a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. Applicants with legacy assessor qualifications, including A1 or D32 and D33, are also encouraged to apply, with the expectation that these will be upskilled to current standards where required.
