We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Housing and Support Manager to join our caring, dynamic, and knowledgeable housing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager to join us to effectively deliver our front-line service housing needs and homelessness service. You will need to ensure that the work of your team is compliant with statutory requirements and that you play a key role in shaping and delivering services for households in housing need, keeping abreast of new initiatives and caselaw and working in partnership to maximise positive outcomes for customers.

You will be required to work under pressure managing a team responsible for offering essential front-line services, offering practical and long-term housing solutions for those homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will provide strong leadership and ensure staff are competent in working within statutory requirements.

The successful candidate will:

Have extensive understanding of housing and homelessness legislation.

Have excellent people management skills; managing a diverse team covering a broad range of duties to find housing solutions for homeless applicants or those at risk of homelessness.

Required to work strategically with colleagues across the Council and with external partner agencies to ensure the Council’s strategic housing and homelessness objectives are achieved.

PLEASE NOTE: Out of Hours Standby and Call Out

You will be required to take part in the Out of Hours Stand-by Duty Rota as and when requested by management.

Standby and call out duties are paid in accordance with the IWC Terms and Conditions 2012 document.
