Food Services Account Manager - Isle of Wight

We are recruiting for a Food Services Account Manager to work with a locally based, well established and growing food brand specialising in the supply and production of fresh and unique products across the UK with customers including Ocado, Wholefoods, Amazon Fresh & Planet Organic. 

This new role has been specifically created to support and grow this national brand’s plans for growth in food services, working closely with Chefs and supply partners to ensure their products are on the menu this season, and beyond.

Their commitment to always deliver on flavour, quality & freshness has already earned them a fantastic reputation and loyalty amongst top chefs across the country and with an ever-expanding range of diverse and high-flavour varieties they can cater to a vast range of businesses in the food industry.

The successful candidate will educate, inspire and support all customers, new and old as to the benefits of their produce and look at how they can best adapt to this dynamic and exciting sector. In this role, your feedback and ideas will be crucial in how they shape their service and continue to evolve and improve.   

We’re looking for someone with a passion for food and fresh produce wanting to make their mark in the industry. A confident, positive, and energetic self-starter with experience in the food industry or working within a professional kitchen using fresh produce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing client relationships.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build lasting relationships with clients, providing outstanding service and support.
  • Product Knowledge and Industry Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends and share insights to guide client decisions.
  • Operational and Administrative Duties: Coordinate effectively with the wider commercial team to ensure smooth operations and successful project outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in food service sales or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Good understanding of the UK food service and hospitality market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid IT skills.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting the commercial team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Confident to travel for customer visits and commercial events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with wholesalers, food distributors, or hospitality clients.
  • Knowledge of fresh produce, catering supplies, or seasonal food products.
  • A genuine passion for food and industry trends.
