The Isle of Wight College is a dynamic and forward-thinking educational provider here on the Island and is committed to providing outstanding education and training to its communities.  We are seeking to appoint a Director of Finance and Resources to help us achieve our vision. 

Leading the finance team, you will develop and implement a robust financial strategy to maintain our financial health which is graded as “outstanding”.  As the new Director of Finance and Resources this role will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a college with a reputation for excellence and this role allows you to be at the forefront of shaping the College's financial future, by implementing innovative financial strategies to support the colleges growth plans.  

As the Director of Finance and Resources, you will deliver on the college’s financial and estates strategy. Collaborating closely with the Senior Leadership team you will ensure that financial targets and budgets are aligned with the college’s overall strategy and are achieved.

The role will require you to nurture and develop partnerships with key stakeholders and other relevant bodies and work closely with the college’s governing body. You will ensure full legal compliance with external bodies, oversee audit processes and risk management, and champion financial governance.

You will be a strategic thinker, who can provide hands-on experience and support to your teams/stakeholders. You will have strong leadership skills to manage teams effectively and communicate with senior stakeholders. You will have an analytical mindset capable of analysing financial data to make informed decisions and to enable you to provide sound financial advice to the Senior Leadership Team and Governors.  You will have the drive and enthusiasm to review services and implement change throughout your teams, to enable them to support the future needs of the College.
