Site Manager Responsibilities
- Lead on site execution of construction projects, managing all day-to-day site activities
- Communicate effectively with the client, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures, including risk assessments, method statements and site inspections
- Monitor progress against programme, budgets and quality standards
- Coordinate subcontractor work, materials and site logistics
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on progress, issues and mitigation plans
- Ensure all site documentation (permitting, site records, safety logs) is maintained accurately
- Act as the main point of contact for the project, supply chain and other stakeholders
- Promote and enforce a safety-first culture on site
What We Are Looking For
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Agent on construction projects, ideally with experience in refurbishment works and civils.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and practice (for example SMSTS, First Aid or equivalent)
- Must hold relevant tickets and certifications such as SMSTS and First Aid appropriate for site management
- Strong technical construction knowledge with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction methods
- Computer literate with experience using site and project management software as well as good Microsoft Office skills
- Trade experience preferred but not essential.
- Driving License is essential.
