We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, go-getting Commissioner to join our Adult Social Care and Housing Needs Commissioning Team. 

Your role will be to support in the development of creative solutions that enable people living on the Isle of Wight to have the best opportunity to live independent and fulfilling lives.

Working alongside individuals, carers, families, voluntary agencies and the wider community, you will have the skills and knowledge to enable you to co-produce innovative solutions, ensuring that the right support is delivered to people in the right way and in the right place.  In this role you will: -

Have knowledge and experience of working within health or social care, in the public, private or voluntary sector.

Have the ability to manage competing priorities, a strong sense of creativity and innovation and the communication skills to build and inspire collaborative partnerships with the people who access our services, colleagues, and stakeholders, working together to co-design and co-produce outcome focussed commissioning solutions.

You will be a confident presenter and can create complex, concise documents for broad audiences, undertaking informal research and evidence to supplement your ideas.

You will be able to analyse and interpret data from a range or sources and be able to navigate budgetary considerations to ensure effective allocation of resources.

Be able to provide advice and support to individuals and families, provider organisations, other statutory agencies and relevant professional bodies.

 PLEASE NOTE: Out of Hours Standby and Call Out 

You will be required to take part in the Out of Hours Stand-by Duty Rota as and when requested by management.

Standby and call out duties are paid in accordance with the IWC Terms and Conditions 2012 document.

Relocation: For some vacancies (subject to criteria) a relocation scheme of up to £8,000 may be available if you are specifically relocating to the Isle of Wight to work with us, or if you choose to commute to the Isle of Wight daily, you may be eligible to have some travel costs reimbursed.
