Technical Consultant (Applications Specialist)

Isle of Wight Jobs are recruiting for a Technical Consultant for a long-established high-tech company located on the Isle of Wight with a global client base.

Whilst the office location is on the Isle of Wight, this role can either be based on the Island or anywhere in the UK for the suitable candidate.

This an opportunity which will see you working with clients across the world in the manufacturing space developing process plans for the production or metallic and/ or composite components using Siemens and Janus Engineering solutions exclusively.

Ideally the successful candidate will have a background in manufacturing as a manufacturing engineer or CNC programmer. You will be skilled in computer programming of CNC post processors in the context of high-level Product Lifecycle Management NC programming solutions such as NX CAM or CATIA NC.

A strong interest in general computer programming and coding such as Python, VB, tcl, xml etc is a bonus! As well as an understanding of CNC machine tools and control systems from the industry leaders such as Siemens Sinumerik, Heidenhain iTNC, and Fanuc.

Naturally you will have a strong interest in innovation and process improvement and an interest in keeping up to date in industry trends such as digital twins, digital threads, Industry 4.0 and SaaS.
