An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Human Resources team supporting the delivery of an effective and efficient HR Advisory Service across Island schools. Fixed term in the first instance with possibility of extension.
We are seeking a proactive and experienced individual who is solution focussed and is able to:
- Provide advice and guidance to Headteachers, School Business Managers, and Senior Leaders on a range of HR related issues.
- Provide professional support on a range of case work including disciplinary, capability, sickness absence and grievance issues.
- Manage own case load of formal cases.
- Design and deliver policy related training.
- Assist managers, employees, and the HR Transactional team in interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures, enabling the application of good practice.
- Ensure that HR related policies, procedures, guidance notes, and intranet pages are maintained, and information is easily accessible to enable managers to deal with a range of operational HR matters on a self-service basis.
- Assist in encouraging a process of continuous improvement within the team, ensuring a consistent approach to common issues.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable skills, knowledge, and experience in an HR Advisory and support role along with holding a CIPD level 7 qualification.
Both flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available for the role.
