Could you effectively support Mountbatten's shops and Donation and Distribution Centre in all day to day activities?
Could you be responsible for the movement, collection and delivery of all merchandise within a dedicated boundary and as directed by the Warehouse Manager?
Could you provide excellent customer service at all times whilst representing Mountbatten?

Key Tasks:

To maximise shop sales by using Mountbatten’s quality guidelines and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation when selecting donated stock.

To direct the any staff / or volunteer in their support role.

When collecting donated furniture be able to politely refuse unsuitable furniture/ product without causing offence.

To respect customers property and assets when delivering or removing stock.

To ensure that all items being transported in the van are appropriately secured and wrapped to prevent damage in transit.

To manage own time effectively and consider at all times economical routes.

To ensure compliance with Manual Handling Operations.

Ensure a safe environment for staff, volunteers and the general public by maintaining strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations and notifying any issues of concern.

To complete all documentation in a correct and timely manner as required by Mountbatten and the Area Manager.

To promote and therefore maximise the capture of Gift Aid using Mountbatten’s systems and procedures.

To display due care and diligence to other road users when driving for Mountbatten.

To ensure that the vehicles are washed regularly and kept clean inside and out and that the oil, water, screen wash, tyres and all lights are regularly checked and reported to the Warehouse Manager if any faults or damage occur.

To be aware of when servicing and MOT's of the vans are due. To keep the van fuelled and that receipts are given to the Warehouse Manager on a weekly basis.

To collect any communication from shop managers when calling at the shops and deliver to Donation and Distribution Centre for redistribution. To deliver these items to the shops as required.

To fulfil any other duties that may at times be reasonably required.
Other Responsibilities
- Attend Retail meetings as required
- Any other duties, as agreed with the Area Manager
