As Despatch Operative you will be part of the team responsible for all despatch of finished goods from the business to final customer, utilising our own fleet and third-party hauliers. This role will suit someone who thrives in a team environment, is physically fit and happy to be hands-on, brings positive energy and an innate ability to handle a fast-paced flexible environment.

Key accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Ability to carry out the efficient and safe execution of loading all outbound orders through the despatch department.
- Manage the active and variable workload to support the efficient execution of the despatch plan.
- Ensure accuracy of picking orders by checking and using documentation.
- Work within Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
- Assisting with stock control.
- General warehousing duties.
- General local driving duties where required.
- Any other ad-hoc duties that maybe required by your management team.
Key Competencies, skills, and behaviors for the role
- Full clean drivers licence essential.
- Counterbalance forklift licence
- Works well in a team with a can-do attitude.
- Must be physically fit due to the nature of manual handling duties.
- Good reading ability to interpret order requirements.
- Demonstrates good time keeping.
- Able to take direction.
- Ability to carry out duties independently with training.
- Excellent personal hygiene.
- Happy to work to a flexible finish time and do what is reasonably required to finish the day.

Salary: £13.00 an hour.
Working Week:
Hours are based on a standard 44-hour week with seasonal flexibility. Monday to Friday, 11am to finish (between 7.30 - 9 pm). There is a requirement to work 6 days from May until September (Saturdays) on a Rota basis. Hours of work will be discussed in full, with suitable candidates, we will look to accommodate individual needs as much as possible.
