Schools & Youth groups visit us throughout the year, with thousands of children and young people enjoying an unforgettable experience exploring the water on dinghies, paddleboards, kayaks and more. 2024 has been a year of growth with many exciting plans.
We have an opportunity for a Receptionist to join UKSA. The individual should be IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office software, have experience in a similar role or customer service role, be highly organised, have a calm and friendly personality, strong customer focus, excellent communication skills and a good telephone manner.

Key duties include:
- To be a positive first point of contact for customers and visitors to UKSA
- To ensure guests are roomed to meet the relevant booking requirements
- To provide efficient administrative services
- Answering incoming calls professionally and timely
- Deal with all students, visitor and staff enquiries to Reception in a timely and friendly manner, ensuring day-guests sign in and are aware of UKSA’s policy on wearing visible visitor ID and the need to ‘sign out’
- Liaise with the Facilities and Housekeeping teams regarding site defects and cleaning requirements.
- Take payments and deposits for various items through Reception, ensuring cash and PDQ transactions are processed correctly, and accompanying paperwork/finance records are complete and accurate.
The ability to work flexibly is essential as the Reception team work on a rota basis; this will include evening and weekend working.
