About the Role

As a member of our Front of House team at Wildheart Café, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest. This is a varied and fast-paced position where no two days are the same.

You will often be the first point of contact for our visitors, offering a warm and friendly welcome, assisting with enquiries, and ensuring service runs smoothly from start to finish. Your responsibilities may include preparing and serving food and drinks, handling transactions, supporting visitors on arrival, and helping customers with purchases.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm and positive during busy periods. You’ll take pride in delivering excellent customer service, paying attention to the small details that make a big difference to our guests’ experience.

Working closely with your team, you will also help maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation across all front of house areas. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a lively environment, and wants to be part of a friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to all guests across all areas
• Take orders, handle payments, and serve food and drinks
• Maintain a clean and welcoming environment
• Support team members across different areas when required
• Represent the Wildheart brand in a positive and professional manner

About You

• Friendly, approachable, and confident with a bubbly personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player
• Previous customer service experience is desirable but not essential

The Wildheart Trust is a young, vibrant charity providing a sanctuary for rehomed rescued animals and support for conservation projects both on the Isle of Wight and internationally.  As a family-friendly attraction based in Sandown, we can offer a fun and supportive working environment where you will become part of our hard working, happy team. Applicants must be 18 or over and be able to work a variety weekdays and weekends. The summer months will also see occasional evening work being available too.
