- We are looking for a Restaurant Manager at The Dell to lead all aspects of our business alongside the owners. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and friendly to join our busy team.
- You will deliver a high-quality menu and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service.
- Involved in staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints effectively.
- Create and maintain a positive dining atmosphere.
- Collaborate with chefs to develop menu offerings. Restaurant Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. Identify trends and improve profitability. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it. Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager
- Proven customer service experience as a manager
- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff. Knowledge of Allergens and Health & Safety regulations
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Full Driving Licence

The Dell has been family run since 1988 and prides itself in providing high quality fresh food and beverages. It is ideally located on the beach front by Puckpool Park with idyllic views over Puckpool Sands, Appley and the Solent. It is accessed either by walking along the seawall between Seaview or Ryde. Parking is also available directly behind in Puckpool Park. The restaurant is a bustling vibrant place with an unusual menu, barista coffee, cocktails and extensive wine list. We are open all year round and are especially busy from April to October.
