Job Summary:
As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant and bar, delivering exceptional service, and driving the performance of a dedicated team. You will be a hands-on leader, ensuring a seamless guest experience while managing the staff, inventory, financials, and overall restaurant atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, customer-focused leader with a strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food quality, cost control, and operational efficiency. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure the restaurant runs efficiently and smoothly.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Train, motivate & supervise restaurant staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of staff.
  • Create and manage employee rota to optimize labour costs.
  • Effectively handle customer complaints and resolve any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Bar Supervisor to maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage beverage costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
  • Monitor and manage the restaurant’s budget, including expenses, revenue, and profitability.
  • Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and kitchen team to maintain the menu offering and suggest new items based on guest feedback and demographic.
  • Promote and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Handle administrative duties such as staff attendance & performance records.
  • Ensure that the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and organized at all times.
  • Assist in marketing and promotional efforts to increase restaurant visibility and customer base.
  • Monitor guest feedback and use it to improve service and operational efficiency.
  • Attend weekly Head of Departments meetings
  • Work closely with the Events Manager to ensure the functions runs efficiently and smoothly.
  • Actively monitor and assess customer feedback to implement improvements in both service quality and operational processes.

 Qualifications:

  • 2 Years Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role within a fast-paced food and beverage operation.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including budgeting, staffing, and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead from the front and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, allergen and food safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using ICR Till system & ResDiary.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
