This is a 'hands on' manufacturing role with Supervisory responsibilities. You will support the Production Manager by carrying out the daily production plan, supervising a small team to ensure a food safe environment and support the continuous improvement objectives of our food manufacturing facility in Arreton on the Isle of Wight. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the production process runs smoothly, adhering to quality and safety standards, and meeting production targets. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team that is striving for continuous improvement, is solution focused, a team player, with ability to follow the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Carry out manufacturing procedures: Carry out all required daily manufacturing processes, ensuring full competecy of product specifications and the overall daily operational plan is met.
- Supervise Production Activities: Oversee and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to optimise performance.
- Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality control procedures to guarantee the production of high-quality food products.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and uphold safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness and ensuring compliance with Salsa standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains, implementing strategies to enhance overall production performance.
- Communication: Maintain open communication channels with team members, other departments, and management to address issues, share information, and promote a collaborative work environment.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely completion of production records, reports, and other relevant documentation.

- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing/production environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with adhering to regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Physically fit and happy to be hands on.
- Ability to multitask.
- Great time management skills.
- Able to overcome issues – solutions focussed.

Salary: £14.90 an hour.
Working Week:
Hours are based on a standard week average 40-hour week, to include the addition of a Saturdays on a 4-week rotational basis from May through to December. Kitchen operations run from 6am to 8pm, working hours to be discussed at interview
