A bit about us...
We opened our second store in Cowes a year ago. Our Brilliant Manager is challenging herself and relocating to another one of our stores so now we need someone to step into her shoes and continue the growth she has achieved so far.
A bit about the role...
Everything! And we mean everything! The Store is yours – stock, team, labour, customers, serving, coffee, coffee and more coffee, all sit with you to own and develop. You will take accountability of the profit and loss for the store and look to maximise where possible.
To add to the list, you will:
- Create a customer-focused environment and you’ll have a unique skill for anticipating what our customers’ need
- Take ownership of all your controllable costs within your store through effective management of stock, labour, training and reward and recognition.
- Inspire the team to follow your lead and execute with excellence
- Full accountability for managing the store to the standards our customers have come to expect
- Training and developing your team to reach their full potential
How you can impact the business...
- The purpose of the Store Manager is to take full responsibility for the successful operation of their store. You help us deliver great service and excellent coffee with a smile.
- You will be tasked with overseeing internal store processes, including financial metrics, health and safety compliance, and various key performance indicators, to ensure that targets are achieved.
- You will create an environment that fosters team development in the store, promoting consistent improvement across all performance areas.
- You will ensure financial compliance and store security by closely following cash procedures.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all store documents, including completing rotas in advance to guarantee full coverage in the store.
- Hire top talent for your store.
- Ensure your team receives training and development for consistent growth and monitoring in-store performance and development plans.
- Support Team Members in their training to boost sales through excellent presentation, optimal ordering, and effective sales techniques like upselling.
- Stay current with PO41 brand standards and communications.
- To ensure consistent communications with both your Line Manager and Office Staff to keep stores functioning. This includes payroll and HR queries, raising maintenance issues and submitting banking and any required paperwork on time.

Having the passion for coffee and people would just be the start of what we’re looking for (but that’s the obvious bit!). The other skills we would be looking for are:
- This position could suit a strong assistant Manager moving into their first General Manager role.
- A leader with coaching experience, remember you are leading from the front!
