The Pond Café in Bonchurch is about to re-open under new management, and they are looking for an apprentice front of house team member.
The café is situated in a picturesque area, opposite the pond in Bonchurch Old Village, and just minutes from the main bus route.
The café is looking to serve meals and snacks, all home made but using the finest of local ingredients in all dishes where possible.
As an apprentice front of house team member, you will be the welcoming face that customers see and talk with when entering the café.
This is a full-time role, and a permanent position for the right person.
You will be working, whilst also undertaking the Level 2 Food and Beverage team member apprenticeship with HTP Apprenticeship College.

Key Responsibilities:
· Ensuring that the Café is ready each day for the customers
· Welcoming customers and taking orders to pass to the kitchen
· Advising customers on menu items, and discussing their needs and allergens
· Making specialist coffees and drinks
· Serving cakes etc
· Taking meals to the customers
· Dealing with any customer issues
· Clearing down the tables after customers, making ready for the next
· Cleaning down the café at the end of the day, ready for the next

None! – We are just looking for a very friendly person, someone with passion, personality and a desire to learn and progress.
Hours:
The hours will be a minimum of 30, which may increase based on business needs.
The role is based on 5 days, including some weekends - NO Split shifts!
