The Steamer Inn is a long-established family friendly pub with six bed and breakfast rooms situated right on Shanklin Esplanade, overlooking the beach. Our team are passionate about serving fresh, and delicious food and drinks whilst delivering excellent, friendly service to all our customers.

We are now looking for a full-time, permanent Duty Manager to join our team.

Key duties will include

• Dealing with the day to day running of the business
• Leading a busy team during shifts
• Serving customers behind the bar and on the floor
• Cash handling
• Opening and locking up
• General administration including, emails, Word and Excel
• Dealing with our bed and breakfast guests and our on-line booking diary

Previous experience in a similar role in hospitality and references required.

This position will include some early starts, late finishes and weekend shifts so would be suitable for someone with their own transport.

• Experience of working in a similar role in a fast based environment in hospitality
• Confident, friendly, and able to motivate and manage a team
• Excellent communication skills and genuinely enjoy working with people
• Be able to think your feet and multitask
• Passionate and knowledgeable about food and drink, and delivering the best customer service possible
• A positive and proactive outlook, and flexible attitude towards your work
• General computer literacy
