Job Introduction

Imagine being one of the visual and approachable core culinary figureheads at The Albion Hotel, Freshwater, renowned for delivering fresh, innovative, and high-quality food experiences. As a Chef, you will showcase your creativity and inspire the team, front-of-house staff and the guests you serve. Your role will be to champion food safety and health standards while providing an outstanding dining experience that exceeds guests expectations. With your culinary expertise, you will contribute to creating an environment where residents & non-residents alike have the ultimate experience.

What you’ll do:

• Help to Coordinate and direct all core culinary activities within The Albion Hotel and other assigned locations.
• Help the head chef to Manage and control services to meet performance, qualitative, and financial targets.
• Drive revenue opportunities through commercial initiatives, labour efficiency, and effective operations.
• Ensure exceptional food hygiene, health, safety, and environmental practices.

What you bring:

• NVQ Level 2 Food Production certificate or equivalent.
• Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Proven experience as a Chef in a busy, client-facing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork.
• Flexibility to work under pressure and across various shifts and service times.
• Direct management experience of chefs and kitchen brigade.
• Strong leadership abilities, setting and maintaining high standards.
• Proficient in time management and organisational skills.
• Analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement innovative solutions.
• PC literate.
• Advanced Food Safety or Health and Safety qualification

Package Description

• Hours per week can be flexible depending on Full or Part Time
• Any 5 days out of 7 – straight shifts
• Shifts are as necessary to support with business requirements 
• Full uniform supplied
• Full training provided
• Annual leave April - March 28 days per calendar year which increases with service
