We are looking for a Café Assistant to join our new in-store cafe team, in the preparation and presentation of a high-quality café menu, brasserie coffees and drinks. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks to ensure the smooth running of the cafe.

Responsibilities:

• Barista trained is essential as this role will focus mainly in these areas
• Assist with basic food preparation, such as chopping ingredients and preparing sandwiches
• Set up and maintain workstations and keep prep areas clean and organized
• Assist with dishwashing and cleaning as needed
• Receive and store deliveries, ensuring that they are properly stored
• Follow cooking procedures to ensure consistency and quality of dishes
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Customer service skills an approachable warm and friendly manner
• Attention to detail

Requirements:

• Experience working in a Barista environment is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices – Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred

Working Hours:

• 1^st Position: 22.5 hrs a week including Saturdays
• 2^nd Position: 16 hrs a week including Saturdays
