An exciting opportunity to join our Bakery Team has opened and we are seeking an experienced baker who is passionate about what they do. You will be part of a friendly, hardworking, awesome team based in our Bakery in Scarrots Lane producing a wide range of breads, buns, pastries, confectionary and much more Benefit package:

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all doughs and mixes.
• Bake various breads, rolls, cakes and pastries
• Mixing and managing the dough and shaping of loaves and buns
• Prepare and measure ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
• Mix icings and other toppings and decorate cakes, pastries, and other baked goods.
• Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and rolling machines.
• Monitor baking process, adjusting temperatures and timings as necessary to achieve desired results.
• Producing high-quality products efficiently and consistently
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and work area
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
• Clean down of kitchen, equipment and tools
• Supporting in other areas of the bakery when required.
• Ensuring internal procedures are abided to at all times.
• Delivery of wholesale orders to customers

Requirements and skills:

• Previous experience in baking essential 
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail 
• Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment 
• Understanding of food safety practices 
• Excellent time-management skills 
• Varying shift times to include early 4.30 am starts on a rota basis 
• 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday) on a rota basis 
• Flexibility through winter (quieter) and summer (busier) months 
• Reliable 
• Full and clean Driving licence essential
• Be able to work on your own or as part of a team
• Friendly with a positive and can-do attitude and flexibility to increase hours to cover holidays and sickness.
