Pathways Lecturer - The Isle Of Wight College

  • Salary: £23,687.20 - £28,220.80 actual depending on experience

The Pathways team wishes to appoint an inspirational, passionate and enthusiastic pre-entry – entry level lecturer, covering various hours across the provision.  You will contribute to the delivery of basic literacy and numeracy, life skills, communication skills, supported work skills, and sensory development programmes.

You will have the required experience of working with learners with severe learning disabilities and/or profound and multiple disabilities and used to creating individualised programmes around life skills and development of basic skills.

You should be knowledgeable in how to communicate effectively to enhance learning e.g. use of Makaton, BSL etc. You should also be able to use your skills to good effect to support learners to achieve their learning outcomes as outlined in their education, health and care plans (EHCPs).  

The role includes working closely with external agencies and professionalism at all times is paramount.
