Hours: 37 per week

Fixed term contract for 18 months or until training is completed (whichever is the earlier)

The Isle of Wight Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed apprentice to work in the Elections and Local Land Charges section. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience at the heart of the Council’s democratic and regulatory processes.

The successful candidate will already possess 4 GCSEs, to include English, at Grade C or above (or recognised equivalent), and will receive training in all aspects of Elections and Local Land Charges work. You will also study for an NVQ in Business Administration with an Island-based training provider, at no cost to yourself. You may also attend mainland based Elections and Local Land Charges training courses.

You will be confident, well organised, of smart appearance and will be able to work occasionally flexible hours and will demonstrate discretion and confidentiality at all times.
