FACILITIES MANAGER REQUIRED TO JOIN GLOBAL LEADER BASED HERE ON THE GLORIOUS ISLE OF WIGHT     

Our client attracts the very best staff from all around the world, and there is now a unique opportunity to join the team here on the Island, managing this state of the art facility and becoming a key player in the manufacturing industry, creating leading products for an international market. 

We specifically require an individual who has a proven track record in Facilities Management and Capital Expenditure. 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be responsible for the facilities plant / equipment, site security and other projects for IOW sites.
  • Be responsible for managing the facilities department including PPM; installations; repairs and H,S & E
  • Be responsible for the Management of the site capital investment budget and programmes; 
  • Manage the Industrial Readiness Process from IRL 4 to IRL 10 to point of handover to Operations Management.

This role requires a Manager who can confidently and expertly take ownership of a 5 year site development and growth plan, become the key contact for all site related activity, manage external contractors and manage all aspects of site security. 

The facilities team in place consists of highly skilled professionals who expect a great deal of structure and support from their management. As a team, they are responsible for the smooth running of this slick operation and the new Manager that heads up this division will need to prove quickly that they have the experience and confidence to lead from the front.  

This means that alongside a great operational track record, we are also looking for an individual with a a flair for staff management, from staff development and KPI monitoring to auditing and budgeting.

A sound understanding of IRL Processs and of Capex documentation will be required along with demonstrable negotiation skills when dealing with supplier sand contractors.

 We are looking for:

  • Previous proven experience of running a facilities and project team within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous knowledge of managing large capital expenditure budgets and industrialisation of sites / new programmes.
  • Experience of working for with local government bodies / contractors to resolve building regulation and permit issues
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Financial and Commercial skills around Budgets, Negotiations, Contracts, Payback and investment experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including excel / project / powerpoint / word etc
  • Good time management skills
