Gardener Job Description
Garden maintenance, caring for and developing various private and commercial gardens across the Isle of Wight. Duties include all aspects of proffesional gardening. Work to include regular scheduled garden maintenance and projects and blitzes.
The Gardeners main tasks are:
- Physically gardening.
- Implementing veganic gardening practices and materials.
- Competent and safe use of all tools, hand and powered.
- Working at height using ladders.
- Waste transfers and waste management including good practice of composting green waste
- Reading and interpreting scaled drawings, garden designs, planting plans.
- Shared driving of works vehicles, including diesel, petrol, manual vans and EVs
- Working as part of a team and on occasion individually
- Customer and public relations
- Following written and verbal instruction from the company owner, office and other senior colleagues.
- Recording and reporting daily work duties.
